Training mission in burns centre in Haiti
In 2006, at the request of Marie Noelle Rodrigue, the person in charge of Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) in New York, technical advice was asked for from the major burns Unit of Edouard Herriot Hospital, Lyon France.
This concerned the care of patients who had been victims of burns at Port-au-Prince.
In September 2006, Doctor Ali Mojallal, senior registrar of the service carried out the first stay in Haiti. A mission lasting two weeks was carried out in May 2007 by Doctor Rémy Zilliox, - a surgeon - and Jean Pierre Girbon - a physiotherapist.
