Paul is a lifelong student. He brings a rich experience of studying at many universities around the world including Cambridge and the British Open. He continues to develop a keen insight into how students learn with technologies, has published widely in books and leading international journals, and has won the gold medal for his research. He is the Editor of the Asian Journal of Distance Education, and on the board for many others. He is also a Board Member of the Asian Association of Open Universities AAOU and an Institutional Member of the ICDE. He was recently elected to the Royal Society of Arts. His current research interests are diverse and include cross-cultural institutional collaboration, adult learning theory, affective robotics, online presence, and research design.
