TURNER Kierian

Kierian Turner is in his final semester of a Bachelor of Music majoring in Digital Audio
Arts. He is passionate about composing and producing music, both hip hop and
medieval. He intends to pursue a career in the music business in both artist
management and talent booking. He enjoys event planning and has been involved with
planning music festivals and concerts in Lethbridge for several years. His music
research ranges from augmenting a drum kit alongside Carter Potts and supervised by
Dr. D. Andrew Stewart, to spatializing hip hop music in a binaural format under the supervision of Dr. Amandine Pras. Kierian had the opportunity to travel to Toronto for a
professional development week organized by CARAS and MusiCounts. Kierian also had
the opportunity to present in an academic paper session and in student poster session
at the Audio Engineering Society's Professional Audio Convention 2019 in NYC. Kierian
is extremely involved in student politics and clubs at the University, previously serving
as an AES Lethbridge student Chapter executive, the Fine Arts representative for the
Students' Union, and the Digital Audio Arts representative for the Department of Music.
