Semiotics and Management

Henrik GAHMBERG is Professor in the Department of Management and Organizations at the University of Vaasa, Finland.His researches are devoted to strategic management, organizational communication, narrative semiotics and leadership. Since several years he has been working on an Art and Aesthetics point of view in management.Henri BROMS is retired chief librarian of the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration and Professor Emeritus of Oriental Languages at the University of Helsinki.Now, he is working on the relationship between Organisations and Jam Seccions.

A Model of Human Identity

Kristian BANKOV has a master's degree from University of Bologna, Faculty of Philology and Philosophy. The title of his diploma work in the philosophy of language was Language as a Positive Element in Bergsonian Anti-intellectualism. He teaches semiotics and theatre anthropology at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia. He defended his dissertation entitled Intellectual Effort and Linguistic Work at the University of Helsinki in 2000. His main interests are in the temporal structure of human identity and the social dimension of the individual life projects.

Lina NAVICKAITE is a musicological researcher. She is now PHD scholar at the University of Helsinki (department of Musicology) after piano and musicological studies at the Lithuanian academy of Music.With the assurance that immanent qualities and semantic features of performance practice affect musical communication, she explains the value of analysing performances, through concrete examples, of "canonical" pieces of Western art music.

Gino STEFANI est docteur en philosophie, musicien (clarinettiste), musicologue, compositeur. Il a enseigné la sémiotique musicale à l'Institut Catholique de Paris et à l'Université de Bologne en Italie. Il a été président de l'institut populaire de MusicArTerapia, directeur du Master en MusicArTerapia à l'université Tor Vergata de Rome. Il a organisé de nombreux congrès sur la signification musicale à Belgrade, Helsinki et Bologne.
