2. A Triple Model and a Graph Model
This sequence will introduce the principles of the RDF model. We will see that it is a triple model and a graph model.
RDF stands for Resource Description Framework. Resource means anything that can be identified on the Web by an URI: a chair, a person, an idea, a chocolate bar.
Description means the attributes, the characteristics of resources and the relationships between resources.
Finally, Framework refers to the RDF model as a whole; a language with an abstract syntax, a semantics and different concrete syntaxes.
