In this paper, I focus on three aspects in the racial politics of Get Out: the objectification and exploitation of Black bodies; the racialized power dynamics of social spaces; and finally, the racialization of US-American cultural history, or how the film reclaims historically predominantly white cultural spaces – such as the horror genre – for Black narratives.
