Dr Marijke J. Klokke is senior university lecturer of Art and Material Culture of Southeast Asia at Leiden University. She defended her PhD thesis on the Tantri reliefs on ancient Javanese temples at Leiden University in 1990. She will organize the 12th conference of this association in September 2008. She is conducting research on: ‘Central Javanese temples: relationships and chronology: a study of ornament’.
