Vincent Dusastre gained his first degree in physical chemistry from the Université Toulouse 3-Paul Sabatier (Toulouse, France), followed by a MSc in materials science from the University of Kent. His research interests during his PhD from University College London (obtained in 1998) and postdoctoral experience at Imperial College were in the design and investigation of the chemical and physical properties of oxide materials with practical implications for gas-sensing and fuel-cell applications.
He joined Nature in 1999, where he was responsible for manuscripts in materials research covering many aspects of its interface with chemistry, physics, and nanotechnology. In addition to his duties as Editor, he will also be handling manuscripts in the area of solid state chemistry, electrochemistry and materials for energy.
