Ce séminaire a pour objet d'étudier les phénomènes d'interrelations entre l'espace urbain et le pouvoir depuis la préhistoire jusqu'au début de la période byzantine. Il a pour vocation de présenter et analyser les marques du pouvoir dans les villes et d'interpréter les mécanismes de son intégration et de sa représentation dans le tissu urbain.

Notre cycle de conférences a pour objet une question qui a intéressé les érudits depuis Vitruve en passant par J.-J. Rousseau : l’habitation. Plusieurs séances sont prévues entre novembre et mai. Ce thème sera présenté à partir des données archéologiques du Néolithique au Moyen Age. Nous avons pris le parti de focaliser sur les sites de la périphérie pour enrichir les comparaisons avec l’Anatolie.

Ce séminaire à pour objectif de faire connaître l’importance et la variété des études funéraires anatoliennes tout en abordant une série de thèmes propres au domaine funéraire. Outre les problématiques liées à la topographie funéraire et à la formation des nécropoles, il y sera question de la culture matérielle des populations et de leur conception du monde des morts.
