Pascale Brillet-Dubois, maîtresse de conférences en langue et littérature grecques au laboratoire Hisoma de l'université Lumière Lyon 2 et Bruno Guiderdoni, astrophysicien au Centre de recherche astrophysique de Lyon et responsable du Labex LIO, ont partagé leurs approches sur la thématique « Mythes et sciences : l'éternel recommencement » à l'occasion d'un débat organisé par le Labex LIO et l'observatoire de Lyon. En croisant l'étude des textes de l'Antiquité et les derniers progrès en physique, ils réfléchissent aux notions de vérité, de représentation et d'objectivité. Un débat modéré par Ghaouti Hansali, maître de conférences à l'École nationale d'ingénieurs de Saint-Étienne.
