Gennaro Ascione works on global historical sociology, heresy and the Renaissance, non-western epistemologies. He is member of the Center for Gender and Postcolonial Studies at l’Orientale (Naples). Among his monographs: Science and the Decolonization of Social Theory: Unthinking Modernity (Palgrave-McMillan, 2016) and the forthcoming Concept Formation in Global Studies: Post-Western Approaches to Critical Human Knowledge (Rowman and Littlefield). He has also written novels, plays and screenplays. (en 2024)
