Bealcosvchi, Simona (19..-....)

Après des études littéraires en Roumanie, Simona Bealcosvchi obtient un doctorat en anthropologie au Canada.
Cofondatrice d’Astra Film et d’Astra film festival-Sibiu (Roumanie) elle en est la coordonnatrice entre 1993-2000. Elle est actuellement enseignante chercheuse à l’Université de Montréal. Simona Bealcosvchi a réalisé et collaboré à plusieurs films ethnographiques et documentaires. Elle a écrit de nombreux articles sur l’anthropologie visuelle et les technologies de représentation, la quotidienneté et la culture populaire, l’immigration et les identités individuelles. Sa dernière publication est : L’objet-exil et ses technologies temporelles (2009).
After studying literature in Romania, Simona Bealcosvchi received a doctorate in anthropology in Canada.
Cofounder of Astra Film and the Astra film festival-Sibiu (Romania), she served as a festival coordinator from 1993-2000. She is currently teaching and pursuing her research at the University of Montreal. Simona Bealcosvchi has directed and collaborated on several ethnographic and documentary films. She has written numerous articles on visual anthropology and technologies of representation; everyday life and working-class culture; immigration and individual identities. Her latest publication is entitled L’objet-exil et ses technologies temporelles (The exile-object and its temporal technologies) (2009).
