Lamarque, Pierre (19..-.... ; ethnologue)

Pierre Lamarque est ethnologue. Il a travaillé dans une corporation d'herboristes au Maroc, et sur les conflits d'acteurs en milieu rural en France. Durant ces travaux de recherche, la photographie et la vidéo ont toujours occupé une place importante en tant qu'outils de recueil des données et de restitution de la recherche. En 2005 il a réalisé Le roi ne meurt jamais, un film documentaire portant sur un rituel de sortie de deuil dans la société Konso (Ethiopie). Ce film a reçu le prix Fatumbi décerné à un premier film d'anthropologie visuelle, au Festival international Jean Rouch 2008.

Pierre Lamarque is an anthropologist. He has worked with an herbalists corporation in Morocco, and on actor conflicts in rural areas in France. During these research works, photography and video have always occupied a major place, as tools for data collection and restitution. 
He directed Le roi ne meurt jamais (The King Never Dies) in 2005, a documentary film concerning an end of mourning ritual among the Konso people ( Ethiopia ). This film was awarded the Fatumbi prize, for a first film in visual anthropology, at the international Festival Jean Rouch 2008.
