George Oikonomou is a Senior Lecturer in IoT Networking with the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, University of Bristol. His research focuses on energy-efficient networking and security for severely constrained wireless embedded devices. George has a strong track record of delivering deployable, high-TRL research outputs. He is co-founder, maintainer and steering group member of the Contiki-NG open-source operating system for IoT devices. He is the developer of Contiki-NG's 6LoWPAN multicast forwarding support and he has ported Contiki/Contiki-NG to numerous hardware platforms.
