Lionel Seinturier is professor of computer science at the University of Lille, France, since 2006, and researcher at Inria, since 2003. He is the leader of the Spirals project-team which is a joint research group between Inria and the University of Lille.
Before that, he was associate professor of computer science at University Paris 6 from 1999 to 2006 in the LIP6 laboratory. He received his PhD in 1997 from CNAM Paris and a Graduate Engineer degree in 1993 from ENSIIE (previously IIE), Evry, France.
His research activities deal with self-adaptive software systems, middleware, service-oriented computing and architecture, component and aspect-oriented software development. He is one of the three co-authors of the book Foundations on AOP for J2EE Development (APress, 2005) (French edition at Eyrolles in 2004, Programmation orientée aspect pour Java/J2EE). He is also the author of more than 70 publications in international conferences and journals.
