Descriptif

Centrifugal PartitionChromatography (CPC) is a liquid/liquid chromatography technique without asolid support. It allows the extraction and purification of molecules ofnatural or synthetic origin. After a brief history, the film presents thedifferent steps prior to a CPC analysis. It describes the principle of thetechnique, shows the preparation of solvents and their use.  The film shows an analysis in which theextract is followed by a UV-Visible detector. It indicates the advantages ofthe technique for the preparatory separation of interest compounds. CPC is areal alternative to HPLC. It is efficient, gentle and economical and is aimedat all research and/or development laboratories and the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and biotechnological industries.

The film was shot at the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences in the Molecules of Biological Interest team of the EA 4577 Oenology Unit, USC 1366 INRA, IPB.
