Descriptif

Due to the pandemic context facing the world, the implementation of online courses is becoming more necessary than ever. Teaching methods must adapt to ensure their successful implementation. Brian J. Beatty proposes a new hybrid pedagogical system: HyFlex courses, which seek to combine distance and face-to-face learning practices, giving students a certain autonomy. The objective is to experiment with it, in order to evaluate it and define new pedagogical alternatives that can potentially be implemented.  

Brian J. Beatty is a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology, currently an Associate Professor of Instructional Technology in the Department of Equity, Leadership Studies, and Instructional Technology at San Francisco State University. His research focuses on the implementation of flipped classrooms, social interaction in online learning, and the design of a hybrid and flexible environment.
