Descriptif

Theincorporation of shape-controlled metal nanoparticles in Electrocatalysis iscontributing significantly to a better understanding of the correlationsbetween surface structure and electrochemical reactivity at the nanoscale [1,2].In this communication, some of the basic requirements to properly use theseshaped metal nanoparticles in electrochemical reactions including surface cleanness, and correlations between particle shape and surface structure will be reported. Then, some recent advances in the application of these shaped nanomaterials fordifferent electrochemical reactions of interest will be highlighted [3-5].Finally, some of the most important remaining challenges on this topic will bediscussed.
