Self-Portrait in a Complex Error / Marc Chénetier, conférence in journée d'étude organisée sous la responsabilité scientifique de Isabelle Keller-Privat (Laboratoire Cultures Anglo-Saxonnes, Université Toulouse-Jean Jaurès, 17 janvier 2020. * Conférence destinée prioritairement aux étudiants préparant le concours de l'Agrégation d'anglais 2020.

Sous la forme d'une adresse directe à l'auteur, Marc Chénetier nous propose ici, d’observer au plus prèsles illusions d’optique dans Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror de John Ashbery. Comment fonctionne le portrait au miroir et comment expliquer l’erreur qui se glisse dans le poème ?Explorant les relations complexes entre texte et image, entre réalisme, mimétisme et distorsion, Marc Chénetier ouvre un nouvel espace de lecture qui laisse entrevoir comment le texte s’échappe dans le travail de la langue.

Cette conférence est suivie d'une table ronde, animée par Isabelle Keller-Privat, avec Marc Chénetier, Olivier Brossard, Helen Goethals, Nathalie Cochoy.
